School Uniforms


LUMINA helps to publicize the School Uniform Bank, housed at Pearl Street United Methodist Church and completely run by volunteers. This clothing bank provides uniforms to specific families referred to them by the School District of Lancaster.

In Lancaster City, students are required to wear uniforms from preschool age through 8th grade. Uniforms consist of short or long sleeved polo shirts in light blue, white, or navy and slacks, shorts, skirts, or jumpers in navy or khaki.

Pearl Street UMC’s School Uniform Clothing Bank cooperates with school counselors who identify families with extraordinary need. They aim to provide each needy student with two tops and two bottoms. If donations are generous, they can sometimes also provide a sweater or long sleeved shirt.

Gladly accepted: clean, gently used uniforms, as well as new.
